Fishman Loudbox Artist For Vocals
Fishman loudbox artist acoustic instrument amplifier. For example when my friend and i play at farmer’s markets (electric bass/acoustic guitar/vocals) we go through a mixing board to a couple of qsc k10s.Guitar channel with acoustic resonance to make the sound of piezo pickups sound natural. However, the artist, besides the extra power, had the xlrs for both channels rather than just one and was the same price as the loudbox 100 [actually about $50 cheaper than where i got mine].
I checked with fishman before doing this and they said i wouldn’t hurt the amp, but it wasn’t really designed for bass response.I have the loudbox 100, the predecessor to the artist.I know that ultimately the answer is to go somewhere and play with them both, but in lieu of (or preparation for) that, i thought the assembled wisdom might be useful.I should emphasize the loudbox artist is fine for intimate settings.
Imho this amp is well worth consideration.Impressive how loud, and clean they are.In this amp series by h&k, there is also a new model called the era2 which is more powerful and has 2 x 10 woofers instead of 1.It is clean, light and gave me the full volume i need in most of my small settings.
Locate the power switch (above the rear panel power cord terminal) and switch it off (down position), then connect the power cord.Marshal as50d vs fishman loudbox mini (opinions sought) these both seem to be a broadly similar price, with the marshall being a bit dearer. One minor issue is that the phantom power is only 24v not 48v.Overall user ratings (based on 13 ratings) overall:
Plug the loudbox artist into an electrical outlet with the appropriate ac voltage.Specially developed 6.5 woofer and tweeter.Sweeten your sound with onboard reverb, chorus, delay and more. The fishman is half the size/weight, and definitely sounds better.
The loudbox artist features two versatile channels that can each accept an instrument or mic input. The loudbox artist for me, has been a success so far with no issues. The loudbox artist is one of the few acoustic amps with two mic inputs on separate identical channels and its smaller format makes it much more suitable for dual vocal use than any keyboard amp.The loudbox artist would not cut it in that context i think.
The roland cube street ex is not as good tonally as a fishman loudbox artist (see below), but for the price and portability you really can’t go wrong. There is not a cornucopia of inputs and outputs, just a single mix di out, inputs for your guitar and mic, and an auxiliary input for playing mp3s/backing tracks.Took the fishman loudbox artist, which is a very small fishman amp, and put the upright through one channel, and the harps through a mic into the other channel.Totally satisfied with the fishman sa220 (soloamp) for vocals & acoustic guitar.
Turn down the master volume control and turn on the power switch. We found it to be incredibly versatile, on account of the bluetooth connectivity and additional 1/8” jack input, while it could feasibly support you at any sized gig thanks to the xlr di output for connecting up to pa systems. With 120 watts of power, this fishman acoustic amp fills the room with gorgeous clean tone. With independent channel& effects level, reverb.
