Best pens available, but they are brush tip. Both sizes have brushes, but the big brush pen’s brush feels fairly sturdy, whereas the pitt artist pen’s brush is thin, a little fragile, and becomes mushy quickly.

ely since.I have used india ink in the past with a pen and nib without smearing when exposed to water media.I highly recommend the faber castell pitt artists pens series;I love the black pitt artist pens in various tip sizes.

I think these pens are just great for beginners and experts with brush pens alike.I thought the pen would be an easier way to use the ink but if it is going to smear, it’s a waste of time and money.I tried several samples and they all smeared.India ink is waterproof, odorless, permanent and lightfast.

Small brush pitt pens come in 60 different colours total and can be purchased in multiple sized sets, as well as in open stock, perfect for getting a few here and there when money allows it.The black india ink of these pens is excellent.The brushy nib can blend with different shades.The ink in the pitt artist pen line is great for everything from sketching to finished inking and because they are waterproof they also work great with watercolor paint.
The ink is of high quality, the nibs are sturdy and precise, the ink is waterproof and the variety of tips and colours cater for a range of tasks.The other tips are a fine liner (s) a bullet tip (1.5) and chisel tip (c).The packet says they are also lightfast (some colours more than others), though i haven’t done any sort of lightfastness testing with these so i can’t confirm it.The problem i have with the standard pitt brush pen is i can’t get much variation in line weight after using it too much.
The reusable pouch they come in makes this a great little set to.The tip of the pitt artist pen brush feels harder than that of the sakura pigma, so i am hopeful that it will turn out better, but i’m still uncertain how actually to use a brush pen.The tips are just like a felt tip marker, except shaped like a brush.The transition to working with pitt pens has helped me to surrender some of that control and expectation that i mentioned.
There really isn’t anything on the market that is comparable considering how much these pens offer.Therefore you make your mark and you go with it.They are as quality as the black pack.They are permanent and waterproof and cannot be erased.
